Sausage Balls
I wanted to title this post These Aren't Your Momma's Sausage Balls....but actually they are. My momma's sausage balls, that is. For as long as I can remember my sweet mom has been making these yummy treats for showers, Christmas mornings, and basically any occasion we begged her enough for them. She even stayed up until 4am the night (morning) before our wedding slaving over these bad boys; we hungry girls requested them for a snack at the salon. You're a champ, Momma! We love you for it, too. (We also love Ann Allen who brought Allen's Fried Chicken to the salon that day. Stomach is officially growling now...)
Ingredients:
3 cups Bisquick
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I use 4 because we like ours extra cheesy...it's just preference really)
1 lb. hot sausage (mild just doesn't give them enough flavor)
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese has turned slightly brown.
Makes about 30 sausage balls, depending on size.Katy and Caleb showed up just in time to help make these...thanks you two! Caleb had never tried them before, so naturally we stuffed about eight down his throat until he was forced to say how much he loved them.

Preheat oven to 350.
In a large bowl, mix the three ingredients together. You will have to really work it with your hands; that silly sausage doesn't much wanna be buddies with the cheese and Bisquick. Don't let him be a loner...it will take about ten minutes to get it all well combined.

Katy said the fact that my nails match the cheese totally makes this picture. Don't think I'll be wearing this nail polish again anytime soon.
We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful October weather, even if only through the windows while watching football all day long. Such is our life, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
