Valentine's Cookies

It may sound like a bit of an overload, but these are the perfect Valentine's Day treat. Just the right amount of peanut butter, chocolate, and crunchy/creamy/buttery goodness to satisfy that sweet tooth most of us were so lovingly blessed with. Package them up all pretty and surprise that hubby of yours (mine gobbled them all up).

Ingredients:
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. Reese's Pieces

1 c. Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3 (4.3 oz.) pkg. Palmer Peanut Butter Hearts (I think Reese's makes them too)

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Unwrap foil from Peanut Butter Hearts. Stir together flour and baking soda. In another bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chips and Reese's pieces. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press PB Hearts into cookies and place in the freezer for 10 minutes. Be careful; they will melt quickly. I put mine in the fridge (for only about 8 minutes), which is why they were slightly melted (but still yummy!).
*Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

p.s. I know you're seeing a lot of this tablecloth lately...found it for $4.99 at Target! Makes me smile everytime I walk through the kitchen.
Elizabeth over at Act Fast Chef featured our Chocolate Dipped Reese's Stuffed Oreos in her Friday Edition: Yummy Finds today! Stop by and check out her blog; it's brimming with delicious recipes, both healthy and sugar-filled (you know which ones I prefer).
Have a great weekend, friends!
