DIY Placecards
With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, it's time to get the table ready and prepare for all the yummy meals to come. We go back home to West Texas for Thanksgiving so we don't formally host anyone at our house, but I love a good Friendsgiving!
I attended a brunch hosted by House of Hough last week that was incredibly well put together and thought out; every guest had a beautiful calligraphy ornament with our name as a place card. It made us feel so special to have something made just for us that we could take home, and it inspired me to make some fall place cards for our family table.
They're so simple, chances are you already have everything you need! Go grab a couple leaves from the backyard, spray paint them gold, then write your guests' name in Sharpie. To do a faux "calligraphy", just write the name in cursive and then trace back over every time you went down with your pen. Easy as, well, pie. :)
Your guests are sure to feel special and it's a fun way to add a little "festive" to the table. No flatware or napkins are pictured because a little ninja Bear kept getting into them, so let's just pretend they're there. You didn't really think we ate everything with our hands, did you?
That's it! Now we're ready for dressing and pumpkin pie. Oh, and my grandmother's sweet tea. Can't forget the best thing!
