class & teacher christmas gifts
Bear is just in a two-day-a-week Mother's Day Out program, but I still wanted to do a little something for his class friends and teachers. Bear got so excited the other night when we made Reindeer Food that I knew his three year old buddies would love it, too. And for his teachers...you can't go wrong with a Target gift card!
I used the free printable found here and printed in 4x6 size. Then I used some scrapbook paper we already had (it's thick like cardstock), a little baker's twine, some tape, and the teacher gifts were done!
I also threw in some peppermint bark because no gift is complete without a sweet treat.
For the reindeer food, we just grabbed different things from the pantry and filled snack-size plastic bags. I've seen lots of "recipes" on Pinterest, but I say go with whatever you've got on hand. A lot of recipes call for glitter, but I didn't think that was wise for Bear's class since they typically eat anything labeled "food". I figured they might taste test for the reindeer. :) We used Multi Grain Cheerios, M&M Minis, red & brown sprinkles, and chocolate & peanut butter chips.
I used this free tag printable and printed on sticker paper so I could simply cut each tag out and stick it to the bag. If you don't have sticker paper, you can easily staple the tag to the top of the bag or tape it on using festive washi tape.

We're trying to soak up our last week at home before heading to visit family for the holidays. There are so many things I want to do in such a short time! We've still gotta make/decorate a gingerbread house, drive around and look at lights, get Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory (before it disappears until next October), pick out a new snowglobe (we get a new one each year), and torture Zach with lots more Christmas music. Hopefully we can make it all happen, especially the last one. :)
What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions? I'd love to hear!
