If you ever find yourself in Galveston, Texas, you must make a trip to La King's Confectionery on The Strand. It is one of my very favorite spots! You'll find handmade chocolates, fresh saltwater taffy, and purity ice cream, which is the oldest ice cream in Texas. The ice cream is the real reason why I go despite my love for candy; it is absolutely delicious. In the fall they have a pumpkin pie flavor that has big chunks of pie crust all throughout the ice cream...I'm drooling just thinking about it. La King's is also a working 1920's soda fountain serving malts, shakes, ice cream sodas, sundaes, splits, floats and other fountain treats. Oh and did I mention their pecan pralines? To die. Are you in your car driving to this place yet? ;)

You've seen pictures from our beach day a few weeks ago, and this outfit was worn prior to getting salty hair and tan skin. We had so much fun that day and can't wait to go back! Galveston really is such a fun place to spend the day.
