budget outfit: back to school

When I was younger, I loved back to school shopping! It was such an exciting time, full of anticipation for the new school year and looking forward to seeing my friends every day. When I see all the pretty things in stores right now, I instantly start putting together (in my head, of course) outfits that I would've worn in high school & college. Luckily I can still carry a cute backpack and pawn it off as a diaper bag! :)

If I were, let's say, a few years younger and heading to college this week, I'd go for a look that said "studious Kate Middleton". Lots of blush pink, deep emerald, and wine. Also flats are a must for walking around a college campus! I love button ups like the one pictured that are tailored a little longer in the back; it tends to be a flattering fit on everyone.
