DIY fall gift basket

Bear attends a Mother's Day Out program two days a week at our church and he's really loving it this year, which makes this momma feel a little less guilty about taking him every Tuesday and Thursday. It's only for five hours and I need the time to work at my stylist job, run errands, go to doctors appointments etc., but I still miss my sweet boy during our hours away from one another. Luckily he has the sweetest teachers on Earth taking care of him and I know he's in great hands. I try to give Mrs. Penny & Ms. Shelley a little surprise for each holiday and since his school doesn't really celebrate Halloween (Jesus is the real super hero!), we decided to make a fall basket for each of his teachers instead of doing both a Halloween and Thanksgiving gift. This covers all fall bases!

I wanted to stick to a "hot chocolate" theme but ended up throwing in a candle for good measure, too. Themed baskets are so much fun to put together; I love the hunt of trying to find fun pieces that come together to make a really visually appealing (and of course useful!) gift. Doing two baskets can get pretty expensive, so I always check places like T.J. Maxx and Homegoods for deals.

Zach made the tags and I have the printable saved as a PDF but my technologically challenged self doesn't know how to get it on the blog. If you want to use it yourself, shoot me an email at thehellohoneyblog@gmail.com and I'm happy to send you the file! :)

My friend Aimey is heading over to our house soon for a fun project that I can't wait to share, and then we're heading out for a Halloween photo-shoot! Any guesses on what Bear and I are dressing up as this year? Here's last years costumes and the year before. I can't believe how much our sweet boy has grown- it's hard to look back at those pictures without getting emotional. At least now Bear can dominate in the trick or treating department which means more sugar for his candy-loving Mommy.

This week has flown by- I can't believe it's almost Friday already. Hope you have the best weekend!
