kendra gives back event

Two weeks ago today, I hosted the most beautiful Kendra Gives Back event with some of my very favorite blogger babes! The event was created by my friend Roselyn in the hopes of raising money and awareness for Spaulding for Children (you may remember reading about it here). I'm thrilled to say that over $650 was raised and given to Spaulding for Children, which means all of you who called in orders & came out helped generate over $3k in 2 hours when the store wasn't even open to the public. That's amazing! Thank you so, so much to everyone who showed support for a great cause! And thank you to Kendra Scott for being such a philanthropic company that truly cares about the well-being of others. This was such a special day with some of my very favorite ladies.

This weekend went by in such a hurry- it was a fun and busy one! Bear had t-ball practice, we met up with friends for dinner, went to a birthday luau, had Bear's friend Carson over, went on a hike at the nature preserve by our house, grocery shopped, and managed to get a few things done around the house. I may or may not have found time to catch up on all the Real Housewives, too. Zach spent most of yesterday afternoon putting floor to ceiling shelves in our laundry room, a task that I didn't even ask for but am so happy he decided to do. They look great and are so much more efficient than the piled up junk we had in there before. The majority of our house is organized as I've become somewhat of a neat freak over the past few years but that one little room was a pretty messy catch-all. Zach also cleaned out the hall closet in order to make room for the vacuum cleaner, broom, and swiffer. Basically he was SuperHusband this weekend and I'm one lucky lady.

It's supposed to rain cats and dogs in Houston tomorrow so all of you local friends, stay dry! And those of you not from around these parts, please say a prayer that it doesn't flood down here again. Though our yard could definitely use a good rain.
Cheers to a new, exciting week!
