It wouldn't be a holiday weekend without some major sales going on! I know I'm a little late to the party and I apologize- we had an eight hour drive back to Houston today but finally made it home! Bear is all kinds of crazy after being cooped up for so long in the car, we have absolutely zero groceries with the exception of a half empty carton of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey and some expired string cheese, and I have approximately 87 loads of laundry to do. It was such a fun weekend with family but in typical Fullwood family fashion, we need a vacation from the vacation. Can anyone else relate?!

With no further ado, I bring to you the best of the Memorial Day sales:

Every year on Memorial Day, our little family has a tradition of going to the Houston National Cemetery and paying our respects to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. When Bear was 15 months old, we took him to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific and the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor to start the long running practice of honoring those who lost their lives during combat. We want Bear to be eternally grateful for and respectful of all who served our nation and never came home so that we can enjoy the many freedoms we so often take for granted. Having an older brother who is a Major in the Army and has served several times overseas, I cannot imagine the heartbreak of losing him at war. The immense tragedy that thousands and thousands of families have had to endure is beyond my comprehension and my heart goes out every one of those affected by the loss of a soldier. Without you and without your heroes, our heroes, this great country would be nothing. And today and every day, we remember and honor them.

xo, Britt
