lilly athleisure wear

TOP | BOTTOMS | SANDALS | BAG | SUNNIES | EARRINGS

The older (and more pregnant) I get, the more I realize just how amazing athleisure wear really is. Why have I not been living in this stuff for years?! I am obsessing over the quality of this top & bottom set from Lilly Pulitzer; it's every bit as comfy as it is cute, washes+dries really well (no shrinking), and even has handy pockets on the side for your phone, keys, iPod, etc. What I love about sets like this one is that whether you're a busy mom on the go, college student running from class to class, or retired and loving it, you can live in cute athleisure wear. It's every woman's best friend and I love that Lilly comes in such bold, fun patterns that really stand out and make dressing comfortably more enjoyable. This would also be the perfect travel outfit for the girl on the go!

I haven't told a random story on the blog in awhile and since there are plenty to go around with all of Bear's shenanigans, I'll share one today. As some of you know, Bear started pre-k back in August at the same church he's gone to Mother's Day Out at the past 2 years. He's now in "The Academy", which is pre-k through 8th grade. He's considered a big boy now as part of The Academy which almost makes me cry in carpool line every morning when I see him get out of the car and walk inside the church like a mini teenager. He turns 5 next month; how is that even possible?! During the first week of school, Bear started bringing homework home and some of it required coloring. He typically prefers coloring with markers and let's be real- our crayons are scattered all over the house- so he colored his homework with the former. After that first week, I went to pick him up at school one day and the teacher looked a little concerned. She asked me, "Bear said y'all don't have any crayons at home? He will need crayons for his homework". I was a little embarrassed considering there were 3 other moms standing right behind me and we most certainly do have crayons at home, so I replied, "Yes, we have some, I just need to get them out. We'll use them from now on". Bear was standing beside his teacher and obviously heard the whole conversation because he piped up with, "We can buy some crayons at Dillard's, right Mommy?" I looked at the teacher and we both started to laugh- apparently you can buy anything at Dillard's, even crayons. And that should tell you a few things about my shopping habits.

Happy Hump Day to each of you!
