boone: nine months

Our little Boonester turned 9 months old back on November 24th and it’s hard to believe that he’ll be 10 months on Christmas Eve. He is such a happy baby boy- always playing and following around after big brother. He loves to meddle in things, rarely cries, and hates getting dressed. He is such a joy and we are soaking up every moment of his first Christmas season.

Things to remember:
-Boone has 3 teeth, 2 bottom and 1 on top. His other top tooth is going to come through any day, but teething hasn’t been as bad with the top teeth as it was with the bottom (bottom came in first). We call him our little Snaggletooth right now with that one top tooth and Bear thinks it’s hilarious.
-Boone is pulling up on everything and can climb stairs like a champ. The baby gate had to be installed a few weeks ago because he was flying up the stairs any chance he got. He pulls up on the couch, windowsills, and anywhere else he can. I predict he’ll be walking before he turns one, but we shall see. Bear walked at 10 1/2 months!
-He loves all food. This baby will eat pretty much anything, but he really loves sweet potatoes, avocado, and Mommy’s milk.
-Boone’s sleep patterns haven’t changed much at night as he’s still up 3-4 times to eat and goes right back to sleep. However, his naps have gotten SO much better. For months he would only cat nap 15 minutes or so throughout the day. For the past 1-2 months, he’s been taking two 2ish hour naps a day and it’s glorious. He seems more rested and Mommy has time to work and do laundry, so everyone’s happy.
-The past week, our family’s been hit pretty hard with a stomach bug Bear brought home from school. I will spare y’all the details but it has not been fun and baby Boone has had his first throwing up experiences because of it. Luckily he’s much better, but I had to put the bathtub picture in this post from yesterday because I love his little smirk (this was right after his 4th blow-out of the morning).
-Boone is in size 12-18 month clothes and weighed 22.5 pounds at the doctor last week. Not sure on height but at his last check-up he was in the 65th percentile for height.
-He loves riding in his new umbrella stroller where he can sit up and see everything- people watching at the mall is his favorite. :)

I could keep going all day because I love this age and all the sweet milestones that come with it, but I need to go snuggle my sweet sick little boys. They are on the mend and hopefully everyone will feel better by Christmas. Can you believe we’re only 5 days away?! So exciting but I don’t want to rush it- the week before Christmas and all the anticipation that comes with it is my favorite part.
