little life update

Hi friends! Before I get into some ramblings about life lately, I have to take a second to brag about this romper from Thrive Boutique that has quickly become one of my favorites. I love the bold magenta color and off the shoulder detail, and I'm a sucker for anything with ruffles. I'm also a fan of pieces that can be worn casually with my Tory Burch Miller Sandals or dressed up with wedges/heels. I have also paired the romper with neutral accessories but I love it most with some other pops of color- gimme all the color in the summertime!

If this post doesn't make a lot of sense, I apologize in advance because I'm sitting here in my parents' living room with Bubble Guppies going loudly on the TV- my precious nephew Zollie and Boone are intently watching while my Mom, Dad, and I are reliving the golf tournament I played in yesterday with my brothers. We're playing again today (teeing off in 2 hours) and then Zach, Bear, Boone, and I will head back to Houston. It's going to be a very late night, err early morning, and bittersweet as we've loved our stay in Sweetwater but are happy to be going back home.

We've been in my hometown of Sweetwater for two weeks now and have loved every minute- we've gotten to see family and friends, enjoy all sorts of 4th of July celebrations, and having built-in babysitters (aka grandparents) is pretty awesome. Bear and Boone have probably enjoyed our stay more than anyone and have had a blast with all their cousins (they have 6 little boy cousins!). Once we get back to Houston, we'll hit the ground running. I'm honestly dreading this week because it's going to be pure madness...we have a walkthrough of our new house at 8am tomorrow morning (hours after getting home), a photoshoot at noon tomorrow, and more work deadlines than I want to count. We also have not boxed a single thing in our house and are set to close on both houses this Friday, the 13th, with movers arriving on Thursday. I have got to get busy and keep joking that I work better under pressure (hence my procrastination), so hopefully that's actually somewhat true. Despite my attitude about the move, we are really excited to be moving and can't wait to start this new chapter.

In the next 6 weeks, we will be making 6 different road-trips (all in Texas) to places like Galveston and the Hill Country. Bear will be getting registered for kindergarten at the end of this month, Boone has a belated 4 month check-up this week, and lots in between. Life is so busy right now but it's also full of fun and I feel so thankful to have healthy, happy boys that make it all worth while.
Hope you have an amazing week! I'll be back soon & will keep y'all posted on all our happenings!
