watercolor dress
Last weekend, my parents came to visit for Boone’s first birthday and my Mom took these photos at the lake by our house. I didn’t realize a few things until after the fact, when I was uploading the pictures:
1. The tie that’s hanging from one shoulder of the dress is actually a sash that is supposed to be tied around the waist. I kind of like it worn this way, but would definitely show your figure better (or show off a baby bump!) to tie it at the waist.
2. How much I love this dress. It’s one of those pieces that you see online and think “Ehhh, it could be cute” but then you see it in person and it exceeds all expectations. This dress is one of those…it’s just so pretty in person and looks like a watercolor painting.
3. The dress is on sale! It’s marked down to $55 and would be perfect for a spring break trip, maternity photos (it’s not a maternity dress but definitely flowy enough to work over a bump), or as an Easter dress. So many options and a great price point for the quality.
I try not to make this blog too spammy and seem like I’m trying to sell y’all on things; I’d much rather talk about the boys or random happenings (as you well know if you read here often). But occasionally I find a piece like this that I love and can’t help but want to share it with you all, too!
Speaking of the boys, I think I mentioned here before that Zach has been in Bangkok for the past week and it’s been just me, Bear, and Boone in major survival mode. Actually the boys have been so good for me and made it much easier than I thought it would be. But they’ve definitely missed Daddy and will be so excited to see him tomorrow. Zach works for Exxon Mobil as a financial analyst and usually takes one big trip a year. I’m spoiled to how hands on he is with the boys- he’s truly a great Dad. I don’t think I’ve looked forward to a weekend this much in a while…of course seeing Z and hopefully catching up on some sleep! Hope you’re all having a great week!
