Easter dresses

Easter is quickly approaching and it’s time to start thinking about dresses! I know the reason of the holiday is to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and Zach & I put much effort into making sure Bear (and now Boone) understand what Easter is all about. It’s not for the egg hunts, or the big meal we’ll have, or what we’ll wear to church. It’s about so much more and I want to stress that before talking about clothes and things that, while I like them, don’t fulfill us like the love of Jesus Christ.

Ever since I was a little girl, my Mom and grandma would get me a special dress for Easter Sunday. I’ve now carried this tradition on to my boys and make sure they have a special outfit for the occasion (they prefer not to wear dresses so it’s usually shorts, a button-up, Saltwater sandals, and bow tie). I love dressing up Bear and Boone but unfortunately, they don’t love it quite as much as I do. Boy mom struggles!

I also struggle to find dresses for myself that I’m comfortable in now that I’m a Mom. It’s one thing to wear a casual cotton maxi to the park but it’s another thing to find a dress that’s appropriate for church on Easter Sunday. I also want something that isn’t going to break the bank, since I’ll likely only wear this dress a handful of times. The dress above is a great option for Easter, since the length is modest and the lace feels just dressy enough. I’ve rounded up some more options in the widget below that are all under $100 and perfect for the occasion. I hope you’ll find one you love!
