I love a good Little White Dress in the spring and summertime, especially when it happens to be as comfortable as this one. Give me all the eyelet and scalloped hems, please. This dress also happens to be bump friendly if you’re expecting, but it isn’t nursing friendly. Made for a fun feeding in the car the day of these pictures :).
Yes, Boone is still breastfeeding at almost 15 months old. This is the exact time that Bear stopped nursing cold turkey and never looked back. Bear was down to 2 feedings a day and we went on a trip to Hawaii; the time difference threw off his schedule and I just didn’t nurse him. He was completely happy and that was it. Boonester is much more hooked on it than Bear ever was, so I’m pretty sure it will be more of a challenge to wean him when the time comes. I don’t see us going past age 2, so I’m trying to gradually cut out feedings. We’re down to about 3-4 feedings during the day and 2 during the night. I know, it’s still a lot. Every time I think we’ve cut back, he gets sick and wants to nurse all day long it seems, and Mama is not going to deprive him of that. This turned into a very long ramble about breastfeeding…not where I intended this post to go. But I know a lot of y’all are moms and I get asked about breastfeeding quite a bit. I think it’s such a personal thing/choice and while it should be something we discuss openly, it’s often seen as taboo to do so. I always advocate that fed is best so no matter how you feed, or fed, your baby, it really doesn’t matter at the end of the day. We’re all just in survival mode and doing the best we can. Sending you mamas a virtual hug today!
We are currently booking summer vacations and I’m so excited about a few of them that I will share soon! Nothing too big, most in state and nothing out of the country this year, but I think Bear especially is going to love them. Happy Hump Day!
