dressed for the season

SWEATER | BOOTIES | SIMILAR JEANS | NEVERFULL BAG DUPE

Happy Thursday, friends! I watched my friend Dede’s Instagram stories today where she laughed about how she’s officially dressing for the season at hand and not the current weather in Houston. I have to admit, I’ve been on board with that mentality ever since the first day of fall. While others might think we’re crazy since Houston temps are still hitting 90+ degrees, Houstonians wouldn’t get to pull out our sweaters until December if we waited for our city to catch up with the current season. And the truth is, a lot of you who read this aren’t in Texas. You’re in Colorado or New York or places that actually get a fall. And you’re so lucky! So I sweat in these sweaters in the hopes of helping you find inspiration for cute fall outfits. You’re welcome. ;)

These booties are a recent Amazon find and I can’t stop wearing them; they’re under $20 and also come in snakeskin and black. I have the snakeskin but need to add black to the collection. Shipping does take between 2-3 weeks, but it’s worth the wait! The quality isn’t what you’d find at Nordstrom, but I do think they’ll last a couple of seasons and I love that they’re short enough to wear with regular jeans.

We’re gearing up for the weekend but don’t have much planned except watching football, celebrating a sweet friend’s birthday, and a few projects around the house. I’m still trying to add a few last minute touches to Bear’s room; his bedding came in this week and it’s even better than I thought it would be (part of the Emily & Meritt collection at Pottery Barn- this picture is an exact look at his bedding if you want a peek!). I promise I’ll share with y’all in the next few weeks.
Thank you for stopping by!
xo, Britt

PS- My drink is a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and it’s delicious! It is high in the calorie department but a tasty treat for the days when it’s still hot but you want some pumpkin spice in your life.
