10 At Home Valentine's Day Ideas
Valentine’s Day is just a little over 2 weeks away and I’m excited to celebrate with my boys! I know it can be a very “Hallmark holiday” but it’s still fun to indulge in chocolates, wear lots of red and pink, and cherish those we love.
I know most of us will be spending Valentine’s Day at home this year, so I thought I’d share a few ideas to keep the holiday special even if it looks a little different this year. Also, it falls on a Sunday!

Valentine’s Day at Home Ideas:
1. Breakfast in bed. I think because Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, breakfast in bed is a given. Bonus points for all the heart-shaped foods! Target has a really cute heart-shaped waffle maker for around $10.
2. Take a virtual mixology class. How fun would this be?! More info here.
3. Have a backyard picnic. This might not work for all locations, but we have the perfect weather for it in Houston. I’m thinking move the teepee outside, hang string lights, put down quilts, and order our favorite take-out.
4. Make art together. Whether it’s creating a collage of photographs with your spouse or doing handprint art of your kids on canvas, there are tons of great Valentine’s Day art projects on Pinterest. It will be something you can keep and cherish for years to come.
5. Make a charcuterie board. Cheese+crackers+wine pair perfectly with any romantic comedy. Or make it more fun with a sweet treats board. I’ll be sharing ideas for this soon!
6. Plan a movie marathon. An all-day movie marathon sounds like heaven. If you don’t have kids, please do this one for us! :)
7. Have an indoor scavenger hunt. Whether you buy chocolates for your loved one or something for your littles, make them work for it! A scavenger hunt is a fun way to pass the time, and they’ll love the anticipation of finding their surprise at the end.
8. Play 50 questions. Write out 25 questions each and then ask them to each other. Actually, kids would love this too!
9. Make it about someone else. Bake cookies to leave on a neighbor’s porch or make a donation to a charity if you’re able.
10. Make a bucket list. If you don’t already have one, this is a fun thing the whole family can get involved in!
How do you plan to celebrate this Valentine’s Day?
