fall charcuterie board
Happy first day of fall, y’all! The weather cooled off a little in Houston (not too much, but beggars can’t be choosers) just in time for all things pumpkin.
And speaking of, I put together a little fall themed charcuterie board over the weekend. Most items came from ALDI, and pumpkin twinkle lights were found at HEB. Let me just tell y’all that the gouda cheese from ALDI is the best cheese I’ve ever tasted in my life. And I consider myself somewhat of a cheese snob. Anyone else love some cheese? I can’t imagine how sad a life without cheese would be. Queso alone….heartbreaking.
Of course I had to include some sweets on the board, too. Salty & sweet is the best combo, after all.
Are you sad summer is officially over? Or happy fall is finally here? I’m a little of both but in my old age I’ve come to realize that the years fly by so fast, there’s no reason to miss a season when it passes. Because before we know it, that season will be back again. What is worth our time is to enjoy each instance and see the inevitable change as a new beginning, an opportunity for something beautiful. A chance for growth, a glimpse of hope that leads to life’s magically serendipitous moments.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; ... A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
