tea my valentine
Years ago, my grandmother passed some beautiful pink dishes down to me. They’re one of my most prized possessions but I never think to actually use them. My friend Aimey mentioned they’d be perfect for a Valentine’s Day tea party, and I had to roll with the idea. Any excuse to use all the pink.
The dishes you’ll see below are Fire-King and I’ve loved them since I was a little girl. I had a similar pink tea set that I played with all the time, so Nana’s dishes are like my grown-up version. Only add lots of caffeine and sugar, please. I also had to incorporate lots of Mackenzie Childs Courtly Check pieces, naturally.
I hope you’ll enjoy seeing pictures as much as we enjoyed this sweet tea party!
The cloth napkins rolled into roses were an easy touch, and I used cookie cutters for the heart-shaped sandwiches. Extra teacups made for perfect little bud vases. I usually just do one big floral arrangement, but I love the look of flowers spread out across the table. Who am I kidding…I love the look of flowers, period.
Thank you for stopping by! Happy early Valentine’s Day!
