a splash of sass

Several weeks ago, I attended a private blogger event hosted by A Splash of Sass in Cypress, Texas (about 30 minutes from our house). The two sisters who own the boutique are hilarious and so sweet; they treated us bloggers like royalty and of course we loved every minute of it! We each got to have a little shopping spree, and I'm wearing some of my favorites in these pictures. They're still working on the website, but you can call the store at (832) 559-8789 to order anything you see above and more.

The title of this post is both fitting and funny because Zach and I were talking just last night about how Bear takes after each of us in different ways. He gets his laid-back personality and love for playing with older kids from Zach, and his occasional bossiness from his Momma. That's right, I was a sassy one as a child. My Dad always reminds me of how I'd grab his head and whip it around to look at me during church because I wanted his full attention. #rascal #gettingpaidback

Bear and I hosted a Flamingo Party this morning and I can't wait to post all the fun pictures later this week! Speaking of rascals, a certain someone did not want to share his toys this morning. Has anyone else gone through this struggle at age three? I know it has a lot to do with being the only child in our home, but I was hoping he'd be better about sharing his things by now. It's very hit or miss; somedays he has no problem with it at all and other days he loses his marbles if anyone even looks at his Buzz Lightyear. Or Darth Vader. Or the random toy in the corner he hasn't touched for nine months. Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated from you seasoned mamas!

Thank you to the lovely ladies at A Splash of Sass for such a fun evening of shopping and hanging with the girls! If you're in the Houston area, definitely make a trip to Cypress and visit A Splash of Sass. You can even host your own girls night and get perks for yourself, plus they'll give your guests the ultimate treatment! Win/win.

Hope your week is off to a great start!
