the shirtdress

For whatever reason, I look at these pictures and have the urge to bust out singing "Little Red Corvet" by Prince. Even though the dress isn't technically red (it's burgundy!) and I only know those three words of the song. And I'm more on speed with a station wagon than a corvette.

Anyway, I just really have a thing for shirtdresses (and 80's pop music). They're comfy and flattering on every shape since they cinch at the waist and typically have three-quarter sleeves. Shirtdresses are also perfect for fall because they can be paired with a cardi or denim jacket and boots when the weather gets cooler. All the more reason to snatch one up in this wine colored hue! I found it at Marshall's for a steal ($16), but I've linked several similar options below.

Bear is currently running around in circles and asking for pumpkin juice (is there such a thing?), so I'm going to stop typing now. Our playdate starts in ten minutes and we're still in pajamas.
