scarlett's baby shower

Last Saturday, I had the honor of helping with my precious sister-in-law's baby shower. Scarlett was absolutely glowing and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces; we are all anxious for baby Zollie to arrive!

details:
invitations: Details Beyond Design
photography: Kristen Zetzman Photography
floral signs: Pancakes & Glue Guns
cookie favors: Sugar Cookies by Britt
cake: Belynda's Cakes

The shower was held in the most beautiful home; it has large open floor plan, perfect for entertaining. I worked with some of the most amazing shops that I can't wait to tell you all about!

The invitations were designed by Lauren of Details Beyond Design, and she perfectly brought to life what was in my head. Scarlett loves neutrals and shades of green, and that was the original color pattern for the nursery (though I think that has since changed!). I didn't want something that screams BOY, though it technically does at the top of the invitation, so Lauren added touches of pink through floral design. We were so happy with how they came out!

All photos were taken by the talented Kristen Zetzman who was extremely professional and did a fantastic job. I loved not having to run around taking pictures the entire time, and Kristen was so sweet to get tons of family and group shots for us. If you're in the Sweetwater/Abilene area, she comes highly recommended.

One of my favorite details from the day were the handmade paper flower signs by Pancakes & Glue Guns. Jackie is crazy talented and makes chalkboard signs for all kinds of events; I can't wait to order more! Isn't her lettering lovely?

The cookie favors, made by Sugar Cookies by Britt, were such a special touch; Britt even matched the three cookie designs exactly to the invitation. I sadly didn't get to eat one (Bear ate mine, surprise surprise), but everyone raved on how yummy they were. I'm obsessed with this make-up cookie set; I will find an excuse to order it soon!

The cake was made by Belynda's Cakes and was absolutely delicious; Belynda did a fantastic job of creating exactly what we discussed.

A huge thank you to my sis-in-law, Katy, for making not one but three casseroles for the shower. Bear and I were getting in late the evening before and I asked Katy if she could make one of her famous casseroles with sausage, crescent rolls, and cream cheese. She outdid herself and made two more; they were all a hit! Love you, Katy Bliss.

All of the hostesses worked hard to make this shower a success and I hope Scarlett, Shane, and baby ZC felt the love. Thank you, Danna, for hosting the shower in your home and Shayla, for making the adorable banners. And thank you to everyone who came to celebrate this very loved baby boy; it was a special day!

xo, Britt

p.s. Thank you, Scarlett and Pam, for the amazing hostess gift. I need to post pictures of that soon!
p.p.s. A big big thank you to my sweet Momma who worked tirelessly on invitations with me; she saved the day on more than one occasion. Love you, Duke!
