5 reasons to wear a jumpsuit

Oh, the jumpsuit. The adult onesie. The playsuit, pantsuit, one-piece, unitard, or romper. There are almost more names for this particular item of clothing than any other, and I kind of love using them all (with the exception of unitard). Pantsuits have come a long way over the past 40+ years, thank goodness. Not that I wouldn't have worn one of those bell sleeve/bell bottom two for ones, because I totally would have.
The first time I remember wearing a jumpsuit was my junior year of high school; we had a winter formal and I found this black sparkly number that I loved. The pants were actually capri length, which sounds weird, but I loved that thing. All of my friends were in short dresses, and I had something different. And while I realize that standing out is not always a good thing, confidence is key to rocking the jumpsuit.
If I haven't convinced you yet, here are five reasons you need at least one jumpsuit in your closet.
1. Easy to wear, as you don't have to coordinate tops/bottoms. This may sound silly, but it really is a time/headache saver. Grab a romper, throw on some shoes, and you're ready to go. No fretting over matching a top to bottoms, which I'm certainly guilty of.
2. Instantly striking as it swathes your body in a large amount of one fabric. A jumper is a head to toe piece, so the print is much more noticeable than a regular shirt or pants. As long as you pick a good color for your skintone, this should be a very flattering thing.
3. Can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. I have 10-15 jumpsuits in my closet, and they range from extremely casual (would wear on a Target run) to very dressy (wore to my friend's fancy shmancy company Christmas party). I have a friend, Sara, who dresses the same classic black jumpsuit up and down by adding a gold metallic belt. Your accessories and shoes can also transition the same jumpsuit from day to night wear.
4. Economical. You're only buying one item, so it tends to be a more affordable clothing option than buying separates. I've also found that rompers are often on sale, as not everyone is keen on them.
5. You'll stand out from the others. If you go out to dinner with the girls and everyone's wearing dresses, opt for a flattering pantsuit instead. You'll likely get a ton of compliments and will be unique without feeling underdressed.

I hope you had a special Easter weekend! We just drove eight hours back to Houston and I want to sleep for the next four days straight. Luckily Zach is off tomorrow, so laziness will be in full force.
Thanks for stopping by!
