I love a good bargain, and these "save" options are just as cute (or even cuter!) than the "splurge" side. Several of my friends have the Steve Madden Carrson Sandals and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna hop on the bandwagon, especially since they match everything. Shoes, mostly high heels, have always been my weakness and my closet is a direct reflection of the habit. Just ask Bear; he loves to run in my closet and hide, then jump out and throw shoes around everywhere. "Watch Mommy, I make it shoe rain". I make it shoe rain too, son. 

This flooding in Houston is no joke; the amount of damage the storm has caused is heartbreaking and unimaginable. The scariest part is that no-one saw it coming, at least not at the magnitude in which it hit. Luckily we didn't have severe damage; we only lost electricity for 24 hours and cable/internet for a day and a half. It felt like an eternity, let me tell you #firstworldprobs. We have friends that weren't so lucky, though, and have tons of damage to repair. Please say a prayer for the families that have lost their homes, loved ones, vehicles, pets, and so much more. The fact that I ever complained about our lack of television has me ashamed; these families are experiencing loss beyond comparison.

Lately I've been releasing my inner Andie Anderson from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days; this blog has seen much more "real talk" in the last few weeks and a lot less "fashion talk". I'm striving to find a balance between the two because I feel they're both important, and I'm passionate about fashion as well as deeper matters.
