My mind is somewhat blown that another year has managed to come and go- 2017 was such a wonderful year full of surprise and adventure. I'm honestly a bit sad to see it go but also extremely excited for 2018 and all the fun it promises! Our biggest venture will be welcoming a new family member to the Fullwood crew, but we also have some other big plans in store that I can't wait to share with all of you! It's sure to be an exciting year and while I don't want to rush things, I can't wait to see it all unfold.
As I look back on 2017, so many memories come to mind and I want to write them down now before I forget (pretty sure I've already forgotten some...mom/pregnancy brain). Here are some of the highlights from this year:
January: We took Bear to NASA for the first time (all three of our first time actually) which started his desire to want to be an astronaut when he grows up.
February: The Super Bowl was here in Houston and good friends we rarely get to see came into town, I celebrated "Galentine's Day" with some of my favorite blogger babes, and Bear & I hosted a "Love You to the Moon & Back" themed Valentine's Day party at our house.
March: Bear played t-ball which was hilariously cute and humbling as a parent. Go Giants! I traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my girl Shelbi and we had the most amazing, relaxing trip ever.
April: Bear and I went to Galveston with friends, celebrated lots of birthdays, road-tripped to West Texas for Easter, and had endless pool days.
May: We celebrated Cinco de Mayo in a big way along with Zach's birthday, my parents came to visit, we hit up Wet 'n Wild Splashtown several times (Bear's favorite), and this little blog had it's 2nd "blogiversary".
June: Had the most fun staycation at Hotel Sorella with some of my girls and found out some big news later in the month...a positive pregnancy test! We also traveled back home and told our family the news in person.
July: Celebrated my 30th birthday in a very sick (pregnant) way yet still managed to have fun thanks to Zach getting me, Shelbi, and Dede Third Eye Blind concert tickets.
August: A bittersweet month, as we announced to the world our happy news and then Hurricane Harvey hit Houston. Bear started pre-school and while he wasn't a fan in the beginning, it's grown on him.
September: I traveled to New York City for 5 days for NYFW and had the most incredible time, despite still being in the throws of morning (all day) sickness. Zach, Bear, and I went to Dallas where I spoke at the Pinner's Conference for the second consecutive year; we also made a trip to Magnolia Market in Waco on our way back home which didn't disappoint!
October: We ate a lot of brunch and visited a lot of pumpkin patches. Bear had his most fun Halloween yet as a magician!
November: We traveled to Paris as a family and had such an amazing trip; I already want to go back (mostly for crepes+hot chocolate). We went back home to West Texas for Thanksgiving and celebrated Bear's 5th birthday numerous times, his main party being at Chuck E. Cheese with friends.
December: Bear was the cutest in his school Christmas play, we had our very first Christmas morning at our own house, traveled back home to be with our families for the holidays, got a puppy (more on this soon), and are ringing in the new year on the couch in jammies.
I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year!! Sending you big hugs and well wishes for a blessed 2018!
