Y’all know by now that I love me a good seasonal bucket list- a way to get excited for all the fun to come! Bear and I always sit down and write out a list before each new season, planning everything he’d like to do (and I add a few things, as well). He finds this special and like he’s getting to be part of our family planning, which makes my Mama heart happy. I always want him to have the best time and to create fun moments as a family, so knowing we’re doing activities he’s chosen is a win/win for all. And I’d have to say that fall bucket lists are our very favorite since there are so many great activities in the fall like pumpkin patches, corn mazes, etc. The weather finally cools off (well, around the end of the season in Houston but still does eventually!) so we can get outside more which we all love.

Fall 2018 Bucket List:
1. go on a hay ride
2. buy 4 new Halloween books
3. watch Hocus Pocus
4. bake a new pumpkin recipe
5. carve pumpkins for the front porch
6. BOO our new neighbors (read about BOOing here)
7. donate canned food
8. go to Boo at the Zoo
9. make caramel apples
10. find foliage
11. go to an A&M football game
12. go to 3 different pumpkin patches (this makes our list every year and we always try to find new ones!)
13. hike at the nature preserve
14. try a new chili recipe
15. send “Thanksgiving Notes” to friends & family telling them why we’re thankful for them
16. take a spontaneous weekend road trip
17. get matching flannel shirts
18. make a craft with fallen leaves
19. get Bear & Boone coordinating Halloween costumes
20. do a corn maze

Safe to say I’m most excited for #19, as I’ve waited for this Halloween all my life it feels like- having two sweet boys to coordinate costumes for! We have a few ideas already of what they’ll be, per Bear’s suggestion, and will do our traditional Halloween costume shoot sometime in early October to show y’all what the final decision ends up being. I live for this kind of stuff- maybe it’s the blogger in me but getting dressed up and costumes have always been my jam. I blame my Mom for this who had me wearing wigs to school for different events as early as 3rd grade…. Bear and Boone don’t realize how good they’ve got it. ;) I love you, Duke!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Can you believe the first official day of fall is next week? Bring on all things pumpkin spice, cooler temps, and sweater weather!
