boone: seven months
Our Boone Thomas turned 7 months old on September 24th and he’s just as sweet as ever! He’s constantly smiling, cooing, laughing at Bear (or anytime someone burps- he thinks it’s hilarious), and just has the happiest little personality. He’s laid-back and goes with the flow, rarely ever crying or getting upset. We got lucky yet again and are so thankful for our baby Boone!
Things to remember:
-You love food and have devoured every solid we’ve given you so far. Your favorites are sweet potatoes, avocado, pumpkin, and the tiny bit of cake Bear snuck you at a birthday party yesterday. #oops
-You are a water baby. Bath time is your favorite- you love to kick your chubby little legs and splash!
-You’re in size 9-12 month clothes, but 9 months are starting to get snug. Not sure your exact height or weight at the moment but you’re a big, healthy boy.
-You definitely got more hair and what hair you do have has grown a lot the past month. It’s also getting more blonde by the day (still looks strawberry in some light)- just as big brother’s was at this age. I predict it will get darker like Bear & Zach’s over time, but we shall see.
-You do not want to sit still anymore…you’ve finally gotten over your Charlie Crane Rocker (it was a nice 7 months!) and want to be on the move. Your “Tot Rider 2” walker is your current mode of transportation of choice.
-You aren’t officially crawling yet but army crawl like a champ! You can get all the way across a room on your belly- you look like the cutest little worm doing so. Pretty soon you’ll figure out how your knees work and then Mommy will really be in trouble.
-You still aren’t sleeping through the night…and as much of a mombie as this makes me, I can’t get mad about it. Waking up to that sweet smile makes it all worth it.

Just saw today’s date and it made me so excited- Happy October, y’all!!! One of my favorite months out of the year and I can’t wait for all the fun the next 31 days will hold. Trick or treating, pumpkin patches, hay rides, cooler weather (hopefully), caramel apples, and all other things fall.
I have a lot of goals for the month of October, things like: cleaning out our garage and selling big items from the move, making Boone a few new baby friends (Bear was already active in a playgroup by 3 months so I want to do the same for Boone), planning out holiday content for the blog, and finally getting everything put away in our house so we can enjoy the holidays without the clutter of boxes and random packing tape laying around.
What about you? Does the month of October get you excited, too?! I’m always reminded of one of my favorite quotes from Anne of Green Gables on this day:
”I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” -L.M. Montgomery
