no bake snickers pie

When it comes to chocolate, I don't discriminate. I love all kinds. Snickers bars have never been my number one solo choice (more like Reese's or Twix) but they're by far my favorite "mixer" candy bar. There's a Freddy's right by our house and we go there at least twice a week; my go-to ice cream is a vanilla concrete with coffee syrup and Snickers. Oh man, so yummy.  I think Snickers are such a delicious mix in because they have just the right amount of creamy chocolate and peanuty crunch. Whatever the reason, I'm clearly a fan.

I saw this recipe floating around on Pinterest and knew it had to be made in our kitchen. 6 ingredients? 1 bowl? No bake? Sign me up. Easy train all the way.

When I say that this pie is super rich, I'm not exagerating. It is crazy dense and so, so good. Zach thought it'd be even better with an Oreo pie crust, and I think he may be onto something there. We'll definitely be trying that substitution the next time.

You could also use a different candy bar if you have another favorite; I think Almond Joy would be kind of amazing. Topped with toasted coconut....yum!

If you like delicious desserts that are incredibly easy to make, this one's for you!

Ingredients:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
6 Snickers bars chopped, reserve some for top
1 graham cracker pie crust

Directions:
In a large bowl combine cream cheese, chunky peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Fold in the cool whip followed by the snickers. (Reserve some for top).
Spread evenly in graham cracker pie crust and refridgerate for 3 hours.

Bear survived his first day back at MDO, so we celebrated with an ice cream date. He broke my heart last night when Zach and I were talking to him about school and he said "But I just wanna stay here with you, Mommy". Oh my sweet baby boy, I hope you still feel that way ten years from now.

Hope all of you that have babies going back to school are surviving as well! I love seeing all the precious pictures on Facebook. Sending big virtual hugs your way!
