From a very young age, I've always gravitated toward black and white clothing. There's something about the combo that's eye-catching and chic, plus it never seems to go out of style. What's not chic are the lovely deodorant marks you probably noticed all over this black dress. We were under heat advisory this day last week in Houston and I changed four times for this shoot in my car; a little deodorant on the dress was the least of my problems. I clearly wasn't using my brain when I decided to wear a skin tight black midi dress that day, either.

You've probably noticed that Rivki has been doing my makeup a lot lately and I'm not kidding when I say that I'm addicted. She's so talented and works some serious magic on my face. If you don't believe me, you can check out the before pictures on her Facebook page here. I just feel so comfortable when I'm in her home, chatting about our kids and watching her do her thing in awe. She's also recently started offering hair styling to her clients, as she did the waterfall braid I'm sporting in this and the last post. I can't believe how talented the woman is, not to mention a complete angel. If you're reading this Rivki, I love you and your amazing work!

Bear and I went to a playdate at the McDonald's play place this morning for breakfast, then drove straight to Chick Fil A to meet our friend Shelbi for lunch. Bear tore up pancakes at Mickey Dees, chicken nuggets & fries at Chick Fil A, and took over both playgrounds like a boss. You've heard of bar hopping? We were playground hopping, and it was awesome. Shots of sweet tea for everyone! With some extra germs on the side (hey, buildin' those immunties).
