The weather has *finally* decided to cool off in Houston this week which means pulling out all of our sweaters, jackets, and felt hats! I love fall for so many reasons, and the clothes definitely rank high up on that list. My sister-in-law made me laugh a few years ago when she said, "Fall & winter clothes just look better on me". I think we can all agree that it's much easier to pull off a layered look than a bikini, so that's always a plus of summer coming to an end! I'm obsessed with this poncho fro Jess Lea Boutique- it's only $40 and can be worn so many ways! I've styled it with jeans, black leggings, a simple gray dress, and love mixing it with leopard print. I love that it's a Burberry print so it looks like a designer piece but at a fraction of the cost. It's also great quality so I know it'll last for years to come.

I'm a big bookworm and decided to round-up some of my favorite fall quotes from authors just for the fun of it. I was surprised to find there are so many- I knew the L.M. Montgomery one listed first below as it's one of my very favorite quotes. October is such a beautiful month!

Fall Quotes:

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
― L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

“It looked like the world was covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.”
― Sarah Addison Allen, First Frost

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
― Lauren DeStefano, Wither

“Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile."
― John Howard Bryant, Indian Summer

“But when fall comes, kicking summer out on its treacherous a** as it always does one day sometime after the midpoint of September, it stays awhile like an old friend that you have missed. It settles in the way an old friend will settle into your favorite chair and take out his pipe and light it and then fill the afternoon with stories of places he has been and things he has done since last he saw you.”
― Stephen King, Salem's Lot

“I loved autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it.”
― Lee Maynard

Can you believe Halloween is less than a week away?! This month is flying by! We're trying to soak up all the pumpkin patches and autumn happenings we can before November hits and all things Christmas take over (not that I mind- I love Christmas even more!).
Thank you so much for stopping by!
