Happy Friday, friends! Bear and I have had a busy day of errand running, getting everything ready for his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow. We also have some company coming in so I'm attempting some last minute cleaning; we are so excited to see some family! This is Bear's fifth birthday so I feel like it's a bit of a milestone one, maybe the biggest since his first. But who am I kidding, I make a huge deal out of all birthdays so every one has been a big one for Bear! His actual birthday isn't until November 18th but with our vacation coming up, it worked best to have the party beforehand. Bear definitely didn't object to having his party a little early. If you would've asked me at Bear's first birthday if down the road, we'd be having a Spongebob themed party at Chuck E. Cheese, I would've laughed and said "no way". But here I was today, driving around swatting giant Spongebob balloons out of my face, because that's what my boy wants. The things we do for our little ones...it's totally worth it to see their face light up in delight.
Bear and I also had a funny conversation today while we were driving- he was informing me that Halloween comes before Christmas so Christmas is next. I responded with, "That's right. Which holiday is your favorite?"
He answered, "Christmas, because we get toys! Except you don't have to buy them- you just tell Santa and he brings them to you".
I said, "You're right, that's pretty cool huh? You just tell Santa Claus what you want, his elves make it, and he delivers it to your house on Christmas Eve."
Bear's response? "Yeah! Just like Amazon!"
I nearly fell out of the driver's seat laughing. Apparently we get too many deliveries at our house.
Speaking of Amazon, there are lots of really good sales going on right now, both storewide and on specific items. I wanted to share some things I'm getting/have my eye on in case you're ready to start some early Christmas shopping or just wanna treat yo'self!
1. Y'all know how much I love and wear my Hunter boots & there are lots of styles/colors on sale right now! I love these aqua blue ones that are currently under $80- but you'll have to hurry because colors/sizes are selling out super fast.
2. The leopard cami I'm wearing above is a current favorite and it's on sale for under $10! I love wearing it under cardigans and it's a great layering piece because it can be dressed up or down.
3. If you are one of those starting your Christmas shopping now (I shamelessly started 2 months ago), this gift set is AMAZING and such a great deal for under $50. I love Philosophy products- they smell divine and are really great quality. The ideal gift choice for that hard to please lady!
4. If you're still looking for the perfect pair of booties for fall and winter (and really, you can't have too many..), this pair is a must-have. They come in three colors but I prefer the taupe because it matches everything.
5. I'm all about baskets and bins- something about throwing a bunch of crap in a basket makes me feel somewhat organized. I just got two of these monogrammed bins for our guest rooms and they're a great deal at 50% off! These would also make great gifts for the organizer in your life- a monogrammed gift always just feel a little more special and personal.
