Happy first official day of spring!!! Bear and I played outside most of today and the weather was a glorious 75 degrees with sunny skies. I didn't realize quite how ready for spring I was until we sat in the backyard, eating sno-cones and talking about our Easter plans (aka endless egg hunts per Bear's request). I couldn't be more excited for all of the fun festivities the next few months will hold! We have a few trips planned (nothing big, just road trips across the state) and I always find packing for spring to be the most challenging when it comes to seasonal travel. Growing up in West Texas, one year it snowed 18 inches on Easter Sunday! Other years, it's been 90 degrees and boiling. With the unpredictable weather that is spring in Texas, it's important to travel wisely with versatile pieces. Shelbi and I have partnered up with Elaine Turner to share with you our spring must-haves so you can start stocking up for warmer(ish) months ahead!

1. Lace-up shoes
This trend is huge right now and so fun for spring! Lace-up shoes give a cool, bohemian vibe to any look and I especially love pairing them with floral prints. Invest in a neutral color so that your shoes match any outfit, making them practical for travel (if you tend to overpack on shoes like me!). A neutral shoe also elongates your legs and if you're a shortie like me, that's always a good thing.

2. Wear-all dresses
The thing I love most about Elaine Turner dresses is their versatility and the fact that they can transition so easily from day to night. The dresses Shelbi and I are wearing above can both be worn as a swim cover-up, casual dress with sandals, or as evening wear with a pair of pumps. The possibilities are endless which means A- you get your money's worth and B- packing is that much easier. Win win!

3. Classic clutch
You can't go wrong with a clutch- not only are they easier to pack than regular handbags because they're smaller and lay flat in a suitcase, but they're also the perfect size for holding necessities during travel. I always keep a clutch in my tote when I fly so I have my boarding passes, ID, and money all in one easy-to-find spot. Then when I get to my destination, I lose to tote for dinners and other outings when I don't need to lug around a big bag. Clutches are the way to go!

Elaine Turner is kindly offering Hello Honey readers 15% off ALL purchases with code: BRITTANY17 at check-out. I have my eyes on this swimsuit cover-up that is so cute and perfect for the beach!
