Boone and I took these photos at my friend Shelbi's parents' house when he was 3 weeks old and he was such a little sport! Don't worry, he wasn't in the sun at all and didn't get in the water; it was a very short photoshoot and he actually loved being outside. We laid him on the towel in the shade after the shoot and he just laid there looking around for a good hour while we ate our lunch on the ground around him. He never sits still happily for that long without wanting to be fed or sat up, so I think he's going to love being outside like his big brother does. I'm glad because nothing makes me happier than being at the pool! Except of course being with my boys....so combine those things and I'm in mama sunbathing heaven.

First let's talk about this beach towel- I mentioned in my last post that Lilly Pulitzer just came out with a new collection with Pottery Barn and it's to die for. I love all the bright, bold Lilly prints paired with classic Pottery Barn pieces. This settee...seriously swooning! I also mentioned in the previous post about all the great Amazon swimsuit dupes that are available right now. The one I'm wearing above is $160 on Revolve but I found the exact suit on Amazon for $25 and had to have it. It runs one size small (I'm wearing a 4 and normally am a 2 for reference) but is surprisingly well-made and super flattering. If I would pose in a swimsuit 3 weeks postpartum, y'all KNOW it has to be good. I'm still sporting the funky linea nigra (the dark line down the center of my stomach) so a high-waisted bottom is my best friend at the moment.

Bear is beyond excited to hit up the pool this summer- he was sad he had school this day and missed our little pool outing. I promised to take him soon because he wants to swim so badly (even though he still doesn't fully know how). We are going to do lessons again this summer and hope to have our little fishy swimming by August. We are lucky enough to live right by Wet 'n Wild Splashtown, Houston's biggest (and only I think?!) water park, and have season passes again for the summer. Zach and Bear are water-slide pros and Bear loves the "crazy river" (lazy river). Summertime...we are ready for you! Minus the whole 100% humidity thing, of course. But the pool days, sunshine, sleeping in ("HA", says Boone), & park picnics can't come quick enough.
